Notes regarding dual enrollment

  • At least a grade of "C" must be obtained in community college coursework for transfer credit to be granted by Appalachian.
  • Official community college transcripts need to be submitted to Appalachian at the end of each term to update student records (financial aid recipients MUST submit official transcripts at the end of each term in which they are enrolled in community college courses to prevent repayment of funds!).

Mail official transcripts to:

Note regarding transfer credit

  • Transfer coursework is available to view through your Appalnet account. Click on the “Self Service” tab and select the “Student” tab. Once there, select “Student Records” and finally opt to view the “Transfer Coursework Evaluation”.
  • If you were awarded “elective” credit (coursework that does not match an ASU course or is a junior or senior level course at ASU), you have the option of petitioning for credit that may possibly apply to your major or the General Education program (if needed). Fill out the Transfer Credit Petition Form and mail or fax to the Office of Transfer Services:
